~~~Goodnight, Princess~~~
'Do these girls never shut up?' I thought boredly to myself, cringing occasionally at the screams of the deranged fangirls that were crowded around the gates to the night class. I sighed and blew some of my platinum blonde hair out of my face.
"That's enough, shut up," I scolded the fangirls sternly, my ice blue eyes piercing theirs. My voice was fairly quiet but they still seemed to hear me clearly.
"Y-Yes, Shiori-Chan, s-sorry…" A small brunette apologised nervously, quietening down immediately. I flipped my head around to see how Yuuki was going with her side of the group of fans. She was clearly struggling, as usual, trying desperately to keep them under control.
"I said, STOP IT! DON'T PUSH! You'll get to see them anyway, now stop it!" She tried desperately to get the respect she needed for them to cut out the pushing and shoving, but to no avail.
"Yuuki, swap sides?" I offered with a small smile. She turned to me herself and smiled, still trying to hold back some of the girls with her weapon, 'Artemis'.
"Sure! Thanks, Shiori," She waited until I had walked over to help before swapping with me.
"Shut up, that's enough!" I scolded the other side of girls. They quietened down and spoke silently amongst themselves until the gates opened to reveal the Night Class students. The squeals slowly erupted, making me cringe again.
"Enough!" I scolded quietly again, just loud enough to hear. The squeals weren't as loud and irritating as they were before, at least.
"Ah, Good Morning Girls, how lovely it is to see you all so cheerful!" Hanabusa Aido, or 'Idol' as the fans called him, sang happily, waving at the fangirls with a bright smile on his face. His cousin, Akatsuki Kain, walked behind him with his usual mellow expression.
"C'mon, Akatsuki, why don't you wave to them?" Aido urged for him to give the girls a wave, his blue eyes shining bright.
"No, I refuse," Akatsuki answered boredly.
'The nickname 'Wild' needs to be changed…' I thought staring at the two.
"Thank you Yuuki, Shiori, it always seems to be that little bit more in order thanks to you two," Kaname pulled my gaze away as he praised us for our work.
"Thank you, Kaname, I appreciate that," I thanked him softly.
He smiled at Yuuki, and patted her head affectionately before proceeding to his class with the others. "Oh, before I forget, Shiori," before I could leave, Kaname pulled me back gently, "I will need you to stay with the night class for a while, the headmaster and I have been worried that some Day Class girls are finding ways to get closer to the classes," He explained.
"Oh, of course, when do you need me?" I nodded, my wavy hair flowing around and framing my face.
"Now, if you don't mind," He smiled gently, gesturing for me to follow.
I nodded and quietly followed behind him along with the rest of the night class.
"Why is she coming, Lord Kaname?" Ruka asked her love interest, shooting me an almost disgusted look.
"Because I asked her to," He answered emotionlessly, 'Is there some problem with that, Ruka?" He asked, giving her a rather bored glance, as if saying: "I'd shut up if I were you, this is none of your concern."
"N-no, Lord Kaname, no problem," She bowed her head obediently.
"So," Hanabusa broke the silence that followed, "Shiori-Chan, what's your blood type?" He asked deviously.
The rest of the night class shot him horrified looks and Kaname stopped to glare.
"Hanabusa," Akatsuki tried to stop him,
"I'm only joking, calm down!" Hanabusa defended, throwing his hands in the air. Kaname's eyes narrowed, but he let the matter go and continued on to class.
When we reached the giant doors of the classroom, I watched as the Vampire students filed in.
Aido eyed me curiously, "Aren't you coming in, Shiori-san?" He asked, scanning his eyes over me from head to toe.
"No, I'll wait out here, I won't intrude," I answered softly.
"Hn, suit yourself then, 'Princess'," he answered with a small wave before heading in.
"Hey, Princess?" It took me a while for it to click. I crossed my arms across my chest and leaned against the wall lazily. "I'm not a 'Princess'…" I mumbled, closing my eyes and waiting for their class to finish.
"Shiori," a voice rang out, "Shiori," It continued getting a little louder, "SHIORI!" The voice whispered harshly down my ear.
"Gah! What the-," I snapped out of my little nap against the wall and toppled over, heading for the floor. Before I could feel the impact, a pair of arms caught me and hauled me up gently.
"Geez, Princess, you should be more careful," Hanabusa's voice was cocky and unmistakeable. I looked up at him to see a teasing smirk spread on his face.
"You shouldn't be so rude," I shot back quietly. I wasn't a loud person, that was well known, but I had one hell of a death glare.
"Rude, me?" he acted hurt and pouted teasingly.
"Oh, cut it out, 'Idol'," I quietly mocked him and his name given by the rabid fangirls of the day class.
"I will if you do, 'Princess'," He teased.
"Oh, stop calling me 'Princess'! I don't have a nickname and I'm not getting one now," I told him softly, a little irritated. I turned and started to walk away, not bothering with the duty anymore.
"Aw, you're no fun, Shiori-Chan, come one, don't be mean!" He reached out to grab my arm only to have his wrist caught in a tight grip.
I smirked, "Reflex."
Aido pouted innocently.
" I wouldn't try anything if I were you, 'Idol'," I taunted, " I have a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a first degree black belt in Hapkido and Kung Fu, why else do you think I'm a guardian…" I trailed off, releasing his wrist and heading off to see Kaname who was still in class, waiting.
As I entered, I allowed way for Akatsuki to leave before gliding over to Kaname.
"Shiori, I'd like you to escort Hanabusa Aido and Akatsuki Kain back to class, please," He asked, "You see, there was an incident involving two day class students and Yuuki, so I need them to be watched over, just for the moment," He explained smoothly. I let out a short sigh and nodded, understanding completely.
"Alright you two, come on," I called out to the cousins as I left the class, waving for them to follow.
"So, you're taking us back to the dorm, hmm?" Aido leaned his face down to the side of my head as we walked.
"No, I'm taking you to see 'The Wizard of Oz', I'm sure you'll love it there, you'll get a long perfectly with the 'Munchkins'…" I sighed, trying not to let the proximity of our faces get the better of me. Akatsuki held back a small chuckle and returned to his mellow state while Aido scoffed in disbelief.
"You're so mean sometimes, 'Princess'," He smirked, "Don't get too mean, then you'll ruin that pretty face of yours…" He teased, his breath blowing in my ear making me shudder. I flicked him away with a small whip of my hand and sped up a little. I could feel my cheeks going a light pink at this comment.
'They call him 'Idol' for a reason…'
"This is your stop, behave, don't go running after day class girls anymore," I stopped just outside the gate and gestured for them to go in.
"You have to come in too," Aido smirked, "Who knows, we might get out again," His smirk twisted into a grin and Akatsuki sighed and shook his head, walking through the gate boredly.
"Come on, 'Princess'," he grinned, tugging on my shirt sleeve to pull me through the gate. His bright blue eyes shone in the moonlight, giving him an eerie beauty. I couldn't help but stare at the flirty vampire before me. The blue orbs moved to look at me, just out of the corner of his eye, making my attention focus elsewhere.
"What were you staring at, Shiori?" Although I wasn't looking at him, the smirk was visible in his voice.
"Hn?" I acted surprised,
"You were staring, why?" He urged teasingly, a smile visible on his pale features.
"I honestly couldn't believe how ugly you were for a vampire…" I trailed off, turning my face away completely to hide the grin forming.
"Ouch, I'm hurt!" He chuckled.
I normally wasn't a very mean person, in fact, I was quite the opposite, but this was to fun!
Much to my surprise, I was yanked in through the doors to the Night class dorms and hauled up the stairs.
"Aido-San, where are we going?" I eyed him suspiciously, "Hanabusa-,"
"My room, why?" He finally answered,
"Your room, why!?" A light shade of pink dusted my cheeks at the thought of going into the young vampire's room.
In all honesty, I felt something for the charismatic vampire currently hauling me along. He was flirty, but so fun to be around.
"Why not?" He asked back smoothly, "Don't worry, I don't bite," He winked, "Much…" He trailed off leaving me pink in the cheeks. "Besides, I have something for you, 'Princess'" He smiled, stopping outside a large white door. Flicking the door open, I was pulled inside and thrown onto a bed.
"Hanabusa?" He stopped in the middle of the room and turned around.
"Now, Shiori, I need you to close your eyes, don't peek, because I have something for you," He demanded softly, holding one finger to my lips to keep me silent. I nodded obediently and closed my eyes, resisting the urge to peek, just a little.
Before I knew what was happening, I heard a small shuffle before his finger was removed and replaced with something warm and soft. My eyes fluttered open and I saw the blonde vampire kissing me softly. I gasped and he pushed me back onto the bed. Soon, I melted into his kiss, closing my eyes and running one hand through his soft hair tenderly. He pulled away and smirked, letting me take a breath. "Do you like your present, 'Princess'?" He grinned teasingly, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Hmm, it's alright, I suppose," I taunted, pulling his collar with one hand, pressing my lips back to his. He ran his tongue gently along my lower lip, begging me for entrance which I happily granted. He slid his tongue inside my mouth, exploring a he did so. Soon we were battling for dominance, he won, of course. He pulled away and held me in his arms gently. My face was pressed up against his chest and we lay side by side.
"Shiori, can I ask you something?" He pressed his lips to the top of my head,
"Mhmm, go ahead," I nodded, smiling gently.
He moved his lips down next to my ear and whispered; "Be my lover?"
His voice sent shivers down my spine and I peered up at him innocently. Our eyes locked and I smiled at him lovingly.
"I'd love to, 'Idol'" I agreed, whispering in his ear softly.
"I love you," he told me sweetly, his blue eyes gleaming down at me,
"I love you too,"
He chuckled and kissed me once more, soft and sweet.
"Goodnight, 'Princess'," he whispered, sending me off into a deep sleep, laying in his arms.
